Outreach Director for Arizona Farm Bureau, Julie Murphree oversees all Farm Bureau's communication and outreach channels including social media, public relations, marketing and county Field Management duties.
Murphree holds a degree in Journalism from ASU in addition to a management certificate in supply chain management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She belongs to Project CENTRL's CLASS VII, the concentrated rural leadership program supported by the University of Arizona.
This native of Arizona grew up on a cotton and alfalfa farm in Pinal County with three brothers and was in production agriculture with her parents until 2005. Her book, Fresh Air, talks about life growing up in southern Arizona in a rural environment.
Murphree continues working with farmers and ranchers throughout the state to advance the importance of agriculture as a food security issue for our state and the nation.
The delights of her life are her six nieces and nephews.
