We've got the experts from Harper's Nursery & Landscaping Company here along with John from Integrity Tree Service to take questions during the outdoor hour.
We can't help it.....we talk a little football! Local high schooler's are doing well!
Callers:
Recommendation - He has many favorites and lists them all. It's "Kind of telling you who my favorite kid is." Location and environment will determine his favorite. John gives his preferences too. Find great articles on the Integrity Tree Service website, here.
Callers:
Recommendation - It should be an easy fix and love the heat. They do love water, but overwatering can cause it to thrive but then it won't bloom. All these could be a factor. They don't need a lot of fertizlizer.
*We talk about the recent storms and the damage it's caused across Phoenix. What types of trees are susceptible to damage and what are some good examples. Planting and pruning properly to avoid damage. Group them together.
Recommendation - John & Jeff share their preferences and give some tips on pruning it and how to properly stake it, setting it up to thrive without the stake later in it's life.
Recommendation - She needs to take pictures down to a local nursery or have an arborist stop by. This summer had record heat and many citrus is struggling. Fungus could be an issue with the recent rain and her watering habits.
Recommendation - We have different varieties of bermuda grass, generally speaking. Jeff talks about winter lawns too.
Caller:
Recommendation - Jeff agrees. He would hold off this first year and once in a while he might want to NOT overseed to keep the lawn healthy. He gives more details. Listen!
*We talk about our favorite trees and least favorite trees. (Don't plant sissou trees!)
Need plants for the spring? Stop in at Harper's Nursery & Landscaping Company. If you have trees that need to be trimmed or treated, remember Integrity Tree Service.

Letters from Listeners:
We set up a giveaway for Arizona Diamondbacks tickets!
Callers:
Recommendation - Rosie is going to make a personal visit to give some suggestions.
Callers:
Recommendation - It will take an expert to know if it will come back. Call John at Integrity Tree Service. For the irrigation, call Think Green Irrigation & Landscaping.
Recommendation - Make sure they check their homeowner's insurance policy to see what it covers. Rosie likes hardy board and gives a few of his preferences.
Recommendation - Rosie will stop by after hearing Lee's story. Our goal "is to be every Arizona Homeowner's Best friend" We'll set him up.
Recommendation - It all depends on how tightly it was sealed and it can be an issue with the extreme heat. As long as he used a sealant made for high heat and installed properly, he should be okay.
Callers:
Recommendation - Rosie would write an official letter and start circulating the information to his neighbors to take to the H.O.A. Make sure they know you're taking the legal steps to make sure they do what they are contractually obligated to do.
*We draw the winner for the tickets to an Arizona Diamondback's game.

Clayton Jansen with Phocus Insurance Services is here to share 6 things you need to know about Home Insurance.
Congratulations to Johnny for winning the Diamondbacks tickets!
Callers:
Recommendation - This is a pretty common situation. The insurance company is claiming "Neglect." Clay would get the company that cleaned up to write their formal opinion and send that to his company. If that still doesn't help, Clay would get the Department of Insurance in Arizona involved if they won't help.
*The guys discuss mold and flooding and how that relates to home owner's insurance claims.
Callers:
Recommendation - Clay & Rosie walk her through the types of questions to ask. Read your insurance document first. Secondly, reach out to a contractor and have them walk through while the damage assesment is happening. Make a list of all the things you need fixed. Take pictures! Lots and lots of pictures.
Clay breaks down a step by step process when something happens:
*DO NOT SKIP ANY STEPS. IF YOU DO, THE INSURANCE COMPANY WILL BECOME VERY INFLEXIBLE.
*What about landsaping damages? Wind damage...car damage? Mason Walls? Is that covered? Listen for the details.
If you need a quality Insurance group looking out for you, call Clay at Phocus Insurance Services!
