Recommendation - This is somewhat common and he could water it during the extreme heat. If it's too much water, it will weigh down the pads and cause the arms to weigh down and fall.

• Cory - He has fescue grass for his summer lawn and it's still yellow even though he's watering it.

Recommendation - Fescue grass is a winter grass and that's why it's not thriving. That's why we have the Bermuda grass here.  If he insists on growing the fescue grass, he needs to let it grow quite a bit longer than a standard lawn. Water later in the evening, not at noon.

• Paul - The ceiling in his master bedroom has settled and cause some caused cracks and imperfections on the drywall.  What should he do?

Recommendation - Call our "Drywall Wizard" Rick Thompson, owner of Thompson Drywall. He can fix anything!

• Richard - He's due for a new roof on his home and he likes the look of steel roofs. What is our opinion of using them for a residential roof?

Recommendation - We love them!!! Go for it if you can afford it. We continue with this topic in the next segment.

Rosie loves metal roofs and he's going to investigate with our roofing experts. Rosie-certified roofers;  Lyons Roofing, Pinnacle Roofing, or Durafoam Roofing.

Callers:

• Dave - He recently did some work on his AC. He changed the filter and noticed that he has an opening going directly into his ac unit from the attic. That means 120 degree attic air is being sucked into his AC unit.

Recommendation - Write down the name of the business that installed the AC unit and don't call them again!  This is a huge mistake and needs to be corrected.

• Mary - The stucco surface on her mailbox is cracking and falling off....Can she paint it or does she need to have the stucco repaired 1st?

Recommendation - Rosie's going to follow up with her, but if she simply needs paint, she can stop in at the nearest PPG Paint Store for advice.

• Ann - She's heard a lot about pellet grills and wants to know what Val thinks of them.

Recommendation -These have been around for a long time, but just now starting to gain traction in the market.

The Good: It's easy to set the time and just let it cook.  Charcoal takes a lot more time.  

The Bad: You run out of pellets....you run out of heat.

• Jim - He converted his smoker to an electric smoker. He wants to smoke bacon and wants Val's recommendation on the type of brine and wood chips to use.

Recommendation - He uses the Sausage Shop in Tucson for his products and Val makes us hungry while he describes the process. He prefers using apple chips.
