Talking weed control!  

CALLER:  For the second year in a row, goat head (stickers) weeds are growing in the lawn.  Is it time to completely remove the lawn?  Because its a broad leaf weed, it can be killed without hurting the lawn.

Rosie's suggestion:  Call Scottsdale Weed Control.

The key to prevent weeds is applying pre-emergent.  There are different pre-emergents for lawn and decomposed granite.

More on the Weekly To Do on open spaces.  Once you determine that the wall is not load bearing or shear, before you do the demo, test the drywall for asbestos and lead.

Prep work before demo.  Block off all the air conditioning registers.  Use a drywall knife blade to cut the sheetrock safely before using a saw.  Avoid cutting possible electrical work.  And tips on installing new drywall and mud patching.
