  • Mike Russell, host of Get Outdoors on KTAR and the man responsible for The Great Outdoors Expo joins us to talk about everthing happening this weekend.

Caller:

  • Terry - He has a condensation line that runs inside his wall from the attic to the ground and it's leaking inside the walls. Should he call a plumber, ac tech or a contractor?

Recommendation - First, he'll need to call an AC company to blow the line out and make sure it's clear. Then, he'd want to check for leaks.

Segment 3 (running time 13:11)

Callers:

  • Chuck - He has a sliding glass door that needs "two men and a boy just to open at all..." Where shoud he start?

Recommendation - He'll need to lift out the operable panel, lay it on it's side and take the rollers that are on the bottom to any Ace Hardware store and they'll usually be able to replace them. This is fairly common. Bring the old one to the store to match. Check that before trying to do anything to the track. Arizona Screen Techs can fix it too.

  • Linda - She just bought a home with sunken living room. She wants Rosie's advice on filling in the space or to leave it?

Recommendation - Rosie has filled in a lot of these. First, she needs to make sure there is no termite damage and then Rosie breaks down the step of filling in the space with more concrete. She can call Rosie On The House Remodeling and so can you!

  • John - He has paint peeling off the bottom of his block wall. He suspects his neighbor's over-watering and causing it.

Recommendation - It is definitely a water issue and is causing moisture to damage the paint. Dig the dirt out a few feet, reseal and repaint the wall to protect the block.

Digital Newsroom:

  • Scott - He always uses Rosie On The House for contractors "because it's like having a 500 pound bulldog if something goes wrong."  All of his interior doors need to be replaced and saw that Freelite is a partner...what is Home Story?

Segment 4 (running time 6:02)

Listen to this segment

  • Mark - He has an AC question on his RV...he has no condensation....

  • Cindy - She had an 8 foot patio door and wants to use them for an outdoor shower...can she get the glass etched and would that work?

Recommendation - Absolutely, she can etch the glass or use decals for privacy. It's a great recycling project.
