Brent Reed is an Arizona outdoor enthusiast and son of Allen Reed.
Allen was one of Arizona's greatest photojournalists and one of Arizona Highways best writer and photographer who started in 1949 for 30 years.
Brent tells the story of how his dad Allen made a connection with legendary director John Ford during the filming of the classic western movie 'The Searchers'. He was given permission to photograph and write a story about the movie. And some of the movie memorabilia given to him.
Allen was also on the set of 'Oklahoma' to write a behind the scenes article.
Brent discusses how his Dad's work has been resurrected for Arizona Highways Magazine. Including other well know publications he contributed to.
Going thru the collection of pictures and negatives revealed photos of Glen Canyon before it became Lake Powell.
Rosie tells the the story of the Haught Family, one of the pioneering families that moved from Texas and settled near Payson.
