Sirena grew up modeling 90's fashion and design student in Chicago. But decided to study archaelogy at U of Arizona. A visit to the Grand Canyon got her hooked on the outdoors.
She explains her day to day focus about Trails Inspire.

May is BEEF MONTH! Julie Murphree and President Stephanie Smallhouse of the Arizona Farm Bureau talk about how beef goes from the field to the store and your table.
Stephanie's family runs Carlink Ranch in Redington AZ, 5th generation family. The ranch started in 1884.
Long process to produce beef, about 2 years. They run what is called a calf/cow operation.
Their climate is perfect for a year round operation.
Explain how they determine the heard size. And how they move cattle.
The ranch raises Angus/Herford cross cattle.

The grade of the meat depends on the maturity of the animal.
When harvesting, the longer you can dry it out, the better tasting meat.
Cheapest cut of meat is select (lowest grade) and prime (highest grade).

About 1500 beef ranchers in Arizona.
Besides dairy and beef, nothing goes to waste with the rest of the animal by-products used for other things like crayons, nail polish and more.
Two largest commodities comes from agriculture: meat and dairy.

The new APS rate change is in effect. Rosie gives an update on what to call to your attention.
CALLER: Home built in 1958 and wants to replace the sewer line. The 3 way mentioned are complete replacement, the liner method and the pipe bursting method.
CALLER: Has a home near a street with traffic noise. Wanted suggestions to reduce the noise. Rosie suggests Magnetite or Pella Triple Pane Windows
