Marketing Director Steve Sampson of Westrock talks about the rebirth of historic Castle Hot Springs. Opening October 2018!
Natural beauty, secluded location, dedication to rest and vitality, and healing properties of the hot springs, Castle Hot Springs dates back to 1896.
Westrock restored and manages Hotel Valley Ho Scottsdale, Mountain Shadows, and Sanctuary Camelback.
Steve details the history of Castle Hot Springs dating to before 1896 when it was a healing place for native Americans.
This hot spring comes from 2 miles in the ground. Small content of suphur and lithium than a typical spring. 120 degrees. Its actually drinkable when cooled off. Planning to bottle and brew their own beer with it.
Castle Hot Springs produces 200,000 gallons a day from the rocks as a waterfall.
The springs water is diverted into pools and tubs in private cabins and casitas, some with open roofs to gaze at the night sky while relaxing in your tub. Some will have telescopes installed.

There were many historic people who traveled, stayed and vacationed at Castle Hot Springs: Vanderbilts, Lodges, Cabots, Roosevelts (FDR), Wrigleys.

CALLER: When cooling down or heating up the home, there is a loud popping sound. Thinking of installing foam insulation into the bottom part of the attic.
Rosie explains the roof decking material placed too tight could cause a popping.
CALLER: New home build. Has a dedicated water line from the main valve to the kitchen thats hard water (has reverse osmosis). Also installed soft water loop. Was told the cold water kitchen line will not be on the loop but the rest of the home has soft water. Told its a standard and wants some advice.
CALLER: Outside faucet (regular bib that you turn with your hand) that turns on automatically early morning. Not connected to an automated system. Had it checked and still doing it. Found on line something called 'ghost faucets'. This is a stumper!!!

CALLER: Installing laminate flooring using bull nose strips for the stairs. Wants to use Gorilla Glue instead of the suggested glue.
CALLER: More input on the dedicated cold water line into the kitchen that wasn't in the water softner loop. Al explains its a long term liability issue. Its detailed and worth a listen.

CALLER: Wants to know if he can/should replace worn out parts on his A/C unit himself.
Rosie addresses the 'super cooling' issue pertaining to the APS new rate plans. The key is to purchase your power 'off peak'. Shifting your power consumption for your A/C at a cheaper price per KW hour.
CALLER: Shares another issue based on the ghost faucet caller in the 9AM hour. After flushing the master bath toilet, water flows out of the shower head. Plumber suggested ripping a wall out to find the problem.
Continue with the caller's toilet/shower head dripping issue. Replaced with a new shower head but that didn't work.
CALLER: (who dropped off) Asked about the circulation settings when running 2 A/C units together.
CALLER: Has a home built in 2012 with a chemical type smell in the attic with foam insulation.
CALLER: Has a 3000 Sq Ft 2 story home with 2 A/C units. To super cool, do you set the temperature the same for both units.
