  • Labor Day is one of the major times of the year to be out feeding your plants. Get the fertilizer out for citrus and just about everything else in your yard. 
  • Don't jump the gun on winter lawns and flowers yet....hold off on planting too early.

  • Barbara - Her grapefruit tree has its typical fruit for this time of year, but it's also blooming and it's never done this before. Is that normal?

Recommendation - If the plant looks normal and healthy other than the blooming, it's fine. Plants can be tricked into blooming this time of year.

  • Bev - She's worried about her yellow squash. Some look good, but others are just flowering and dying off.

Recommendation - It's pretty normal and just means some of the flowers aren't pollinating. 

  • Al - He has a 6 foot honey locust tree in a planter and wants to know when it's the best time to plant it in the ground.  
Recommendation - Fall is the best time to plant most of your landscape trees and shrubs. Mid-September through Mid-November.

  • Sizing is important to $$$. Odds are you are NOT a standard size. Take this into account.

  • What should be the first step be when you start designing your new kitchen or bathroom.

ROSIE'S TIP:  Your attic is only costing your about 10% of your heating & cooling bill! It's your doors & windows. NOT the attic. Make sure you know where to spend your hard earned money.

  • Linda - She wants to know what Ann thinks of drawers versus slider cabinets. Her contractor recommends all drawers....

Recommendation - Ann has been working with more & more drawers. She loves it! Listen as she tells you why.

  • Tired of someone in the family slamming drawers?!?! Ann's the expert......Install "soft close" drawers.
  • Custom Cabinetry vs. Factory Made
  • "Fillers" solve the gaps stock cabinets cause. 
  • Cabinets all the way up to the ceiling?

Recommendation - Look for a hood that's got more power, but the combo usually doesn't work that great.
