Special Guest NAWIC, the National Association of Women in Construction will join us to talk career opportunities. We will also have special guest Jeff Fleetham, Director of Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC) joining us to discuss the uptick in ROC licensing.

Farmer Greg of The Urban Farm says its easy to grow your own food in the desert provided you know the 'rules' for success.  And grow something nearly year round.

Explains the art of permaculture.  Starting with observing your garden space.  First thing is sun exposure.  East, west, north, south exposure during the year varies.  Greg explains which is the best and worst exposure.

Identify the microclimates.  Cooler and warmer spaces to grow in the yard.

Tips on watering your garden.  Greg explains the advantage of using drip tape with is different from drip irrigation.  Chlorine removal from city water.  Never used soften water due to its salt content.
