Rita gives her background and talks about acquisition, management and utilization of surface and ground water.

A planned dam was scrapped because of a better storage system pumping water in the aquafers below the surface with no evaporation.

How the levels in Lake Mead affect water restrictions and drought conditions.

Talking about water storage.   Recharging the underground aquifers to store water.

Before the Central Arizona Project  (CAP) system, famers pumped water from the aquifers.  It created space after the CAP to store and recharge.

The town of Buckeye is water logged??  Rita explains why.

The water table in greater Pima Country is actually rising with the help of the CAP.

Since 1960 as the population increased in Arizona, we are using about the same amount of water each year.

If you plant in an area where bermuda or nut grass grew, you must dig out the grass completely.
