To get tulips to grow in Arizona, below the rim, the bulbs need
to be chilled for at least 6 mos. You can chill the bulbs in the
refrigerator. Tulips have a very short
life in our climate. If you want to
plant them again next year, once the leaves and stems die late next spring,
take the bulbs out of the pots, store them and re-chill them before replanting
next fall.
